Usually stores have started doing their own brands such as boots and superdrugs which are quite alright. I use the Simple range cos its alcohol and fragrance free i guess you just gotta try them to see what suits you best. There are also stores like Wilkinson and Savers that sell branded cosmetics for cheaper so try there.

Mary Kay has a 3 in 1 cleanser that cleanses, tones, and moisturizes in one step. It is more that a single product at say the drugstore, but it is a better product.

First Mary Kay is a premier cosmetics line, meaning it is rated above half of the department lines. It is in fact rated above MAC and Clinique. It also has many ingredients that can only be found in Mary Kay. An example, there is a night solution from Mary Kay that has peptides in it (ask if you need a definition) these peptides are similar to the ones found in the best department store line, but better. Because Mary Kay is the number one selling cosmetic line they have a higher demand and are actually able to buy from the same French company, but because they buy in such quantities they get a special and better formula.

Better, the prices of Mary Kay are lower because they do not pay the department store overhead. It is a home based business.

Cheap is not always best! I use clinique. IT seems expensive. Face wash, £11 i think (but the soap bar lasts for about 6 months, if used twice a day) and cleanser is about £17, and lasts about 4 months.

Ok I am a Mary Kay Consultant and I would recommend the Mary Kay 3-n-1 cleanser and the tinted moisturizer. The cleanser is $18.00 and it should last you about 3 months. The tinted moisturizer is also $18.00 and it should last you about 6 months depending on how often you use it. the cleanser comes in normal to dry and combination to oily. I use products from Lush. They have a cleanser called babyface which comes in a bar, you just smooth it over your face and let the oil's melt then wipe it off with cotton wool soaked in warm water. That costs £2.95 and lasts for ages I've had mine for about 7 months. Then use one of their toners. The best one I've tried is tea tree water which costs £4.25 and it helps to control shine and has antibacterial properties.

I've found these work better than most products as they contain all natural products to make them.

I've used every kind of cleanser and toner throughout my 20 years. I now use witchazel which is about 99p from the chemist. Everytime I think of changing and do I go back to witchazel!!

clinique is the best, but if you want something that costs a little less the young line of moisturisers and cleansers and toners are also quite good

The Cetaphil products are cheap, widly available, and have been proven to be the mildest and most effective in cleansing. For a toner, the gentler the better. These products shold all be available in the drug store locally.
