Do you have a Verizon cell phone?

If so, can you Text message other Verizon wireless users for FREE? I know calling other verizon people is free, but is texting the same way???

I think yes. It was some offer or something on prepaid.

its not entirely free. you do THIS. you get THAT.

Good question. I do have Verizon and I don't think the texting is free between users. Hubby and I are even on a family plan and I think it charges for texts between he and I.

No, it is not free. You'll have to pay for the service to be added to your account and pay the texting fees too but it's different depending on your location. I was added to my boyfriend's plan so he and I can text for free but only to each other. That might be a way.

One thing I'd like to add...if you're phone is dead somehow and you need to text someone that has a Verizon phone...you CAN text them via email. Just enter their number, including the area code and then put: @vtext.com (ie. 1234567890@vtext.com)

no its not. unless you have a text package that includes unlimited verizon to verizon texting. you can get a package from them that starts at $10 it would give u 500 messages to send to other carriers and unlimited to verizon customers, without a package text messages are $.10 each. you can keep track of your text usage with #data on your phone.

Nope The txt messages are being charged for even though I think they would get more customers with free txting

no. i got an umlimited text package for $10.00 a month. pictures and texts
