This was asked recently, but I'll try again.
Gay (classic term): happy, carefree and full of joy.
Gay (modern usage): someone who sexually attracted to people of the same gender. Usually refers to guys, as girls who are attracted to other girls are more commonly referred to as lesbians.
Transexual: someone with a gender identity (ie. internal concept of what gender they should be) that differs from their physical sex, usually (but not always) to the point of going on cross-gender hormones and having surgery in order to bring the body in line with the mind.
Transvestite: someone who enjoys dressing up like the opposite gender, but is otherwise comfortable with the sex they were born as. Usually straight, contrary to popular belief. (This doesn't mean they're *always* straight, just that you can't make the assumption that they're gay.)
Emo gay: usually a putdown referring to someone who is seen as being overly melodramatic, depressive and not entirely masculine.

Gay: Homosexual / attracted to members of the same sex.
Transexual: A person who has had sex reassignment surgery to change their physical sex from male to female, or from female to male.
Transvestite: A person who sometimes cross dresses, but does not necessarily consider themselvers a member of the opposite sex.
Emo Gay: I have no idea.
Being Transexual / a Transvestite does NOT mean that the person is also Gay. Being Gay does NOT mean that the person also cross dresses or takes on roles traditionally considered as belonging to the opposite sex.

Just some blanket terms to help you out:
1) Heterosexual/Straight- either an individual who identifies as a man and is sexually attracted to only women, or an individual who identifies as a woman and is sexually attracted to only men.
2) Lesbian/Homosexual Woman- an individual who identifies as a woman and is sexually attracted only to other women.
3) Gay Man/Homosexual Man- an individual who identifies as a man and is sexually attracted only to other men.
4) Bisexual- an individual who is sexually attracted to men and women, either equally or with one preferred over the other.
5) Pansexual/Omnisexual- individuals who experience sexual attraction from many sources, be they people, objects (fetishes), concepts or ideas, etc.. It is understood that pansexuals/omnisexuals are bisexuals, but with additional expressions of sexuality.
6) Transvestite- either an individual who identifies as a man but occassionally dresses (often in conjunction with behaving) as a woman, or an individual who identifies as a woman but occasionally dresses (often in conjuction with behaving) as a man. This term is somewhat antiquated ('cross-dresser' is more modern), and has connotations of receiving sexual pleasure from this dressing and behavior, though that isn't always the case. Transvestites have no desire to be the gender that they dress as, but only to do it recreationally (or vocationally, as in the case of drag performers).
7) Transgender- an individual who identifies as both or neither of the two genders, or as a 'third sex', expresses blurred/mixed gender traits, or lives full-time as the gender to which he/she/ze was not biologically born, without intention of 'passing' or body modification with hormones or sugery.
8) Transsexual- an individual who identifies as a gender to which he/she/ze was not biologically born; someone who feels their body does not match their actual gender. Transsexuals take steps to modify their bodies with hormones and sex reassignment surgeries.
9) 'Ze' and 'hir'- non-gender specific pronouns. 'Ze' takes the place of 'he' or 'she', and 'hir' acts as a possessive like 'his' or 'her'. These terms are often used to refer to transgender individuals who feel the gender dichtomous nature of our language is incapable of accurately describing them. It's preferable to the non-gender specific 'it', which is seen as dehumanizing. Generally, transsexuals identify as the gender they feel they are (whether or not their body has been changed to match), so they will not require 'ze' and 'hir', although some still prefer them.
These are some basic terms I think everyone should know. Remember that homosexuality/heterosexuality/bisexuality/omnisexuality are sexual orientations. They have nothing to do with emotional attraction- that is something else. Neither is any type of penetration inherently 'gay'- some straight males enjoy anal penetration, for example. Remember as well that gender identity and sexual orientation are two separate things- there are Male-to-Female lesbians (they are women and love women), Male-to-Female straights (women who love men), Female-to-Male gays (they are men and love men), Female-to-Male straights (they are men and love women). And of course they may be bisexual or omnisexual, etc.. Being a transvestite does not indicate someone's sexual orientation. Remember as well that sexual orientation is not necessarily black and white- the Kinsey scale was created to describe the fact that certain individuals, environments, and situations may influence one's sexuality, not quite gay, but not straight- part of scale.
Sorry if that was a little jumbled; hope it helps.
P.S.- a gay emo is merely a gay person who is also emo. For that, then, you'll have to find the definition of 'emo'.
