A 115v generator is not driven by a 12v motor it is started with a 12v battery to the starter. From there it will generate 115v to the AC but that depends on what size AC unit you have and the Wattage output the generator is capable of providing? They sometimes don't match. Need to know the output of the Gen-Set and the BTU's of the AC unit?

I'm not an electrician, but i think your asking whether you can run an air conditioner requiring 115v AC with a 12v DC system.
What you'd have to do is bypass the regulator/rectifier of the alternator and use a regulator that only allows 115v to get through.

You could use something like a RedLine Generator, but they are huge power draws.
