i think my three month old daughter might be sick. she had a really bad cold at the begining of the month and i had to take her to the hospital for two days and it took her another week to get over it after we came home. my friend and her 1 year old daughter showed up at our house unanounced and her kid had a runny nose. i asked her if she was sick and she said she had been a few days ago. i explained to her that my daughter had been really sick and i didn't want her getting sick again. they stayed an hour and her kid touched and destroyed my daughters bouncer and play gym. as soon as they left i sprayed everything with clorox anywhere sanitizer. my daughter has been really fussy the last few days, like she was when she started getting sick last time. do u think she is getting sick again?

probably yes.....you have to be very careful when they are so little...I think it was rude of your friend staying after you told her how your little one had been sick. Call your pediatrician to see what you can do to prevent her from getting really bad again.

First of all, I don't understand why your daughter was hospitalized for a really bad cold. Babies get colds all the time...even really bad ones. You keep them hydrated and take care of them best you can and give them infant tylenol but there is no cure for the common cold. It just has to run it course and trust me she will get more of them. The only thing that can really prevent a cold is a good immunity system which will develope as she gets older. Now you wonder if she has a cold again? Is she running a fever? Is her stomach upset? Does she have diarrhea? Is she eating? Put your finger in her mouth and feel for little bumps, could she be teething? Is all that clorox spray bothering her? If you can't find the source of why she is fussy, then anyone here will tell you to take her to the doctor or at least call ask-a-nurse.

It takes 3 days after you come in contact with the virus to actually become sick. I think she might be getting it again especially since you say she acted that way the last time she got sick.

I hope she's not (sick babies are no fun!) but it sounds like that's what it is. I know you used clorox on her bouncer, but really that only kills a few of the germs (no matter how many germs they claim it kills).

Go with your gut and take her somewhere to be seen again. You dont want to wait too long.

Just read my last question or a couple questions ago. My three and half month old son has bronchial pnuemonia and everyone kept telling me there was nothing wrong with him.

Listen to what your insticts are telling you. And so what if you go and she isnt sick? At least you are at a peace of mind.

Good luck.
