Is there a mythological creature that is part DEER/DOE and part human? If there is what is it called?? I already know about centaurs, satyrs and minotaurs. I don`t even know where I got this idea. I think I might have seen it on Xena or Hercules years ago. Thanks for any help you can give me.

It's called a Faun - The Fauns, which are asscociated with Satyrs, but are known to be more gentle, are mischievous creatures with the legs, ears and tail of a deer and the face and body of a handsome young man. They follow the god Faunus and can cause nightmares. At times, they can also be quite cheerful.

Fauns are part goat, not deer. But there is creature that's part human part stag. I think it comes out of British or Celtic Mythology. The Character is present in Susan Cooper's novel The Dark is Rising. I can't think of his name, but he's the leader of a great hunt.
