I had a catheter put before and after I had my child. I am only 90 pounds. It was 2 weeks ago. I am having problems like a dull pain like something is still there especially after a warm shower. Is this normal? When I go to the bathroom it is a much bigger stream and sometimes uncomfortable. Is it normal and how long will it normally take to go back to normal? Is it safe to take a bath like that Instead of a shower?

why on earth would you consent to that for natural childbirth? (for future information you have a right to refuse anything yes anything a doctor wants to do unless you have a highly contagious disease or are a harm to others or your sell...other wise you can say NO)...its for a doctors convince not yours. this is why routine hospital interventions during birth are bad. I'm so sorry you are having to go through this. i suggest you call a doctor and see some one about it. hopefully they can give you some information and hopefully they did not damage anything.

Well, why not? Just take care that you bath in your third day or later because the second day is actually the most important day due to the fact that this is the day the ovum is released and obviously if you bath in the first day your period may completely stop for the whole month or come again the following days or weeks and this is because the blood pressure is not as strong and is easily stopped. By experience I would tell you that the best day to bath is the third because the blood pressure is still somewhat strong and the ovum has already been released.

It is common when you have to have a cathetar to get a bladder infection, and it does sound like you have one. Go to your doctor, let him test your urine and give you a prescription for antibiotics.
