Make sure you keep taking your meds exactly like your doc said and you will make it. And the others are right with all the technology now, babies do survive being born earlier and earlier. I have actually read in a medical magazine that they are now up to saving babies as early as 26-27 weeks. You are very very close to full term. The only concern is full lung development right now with your doc. And if you would not make it and go into full labor. They would give you a shot of steroids to develop the babies lungs and you would deliver. The baby would probably stay a few extra days in the hospital than you just as a precaution. But I would not worry, take your meds, don't take stairs if you can avoid, don't lift anything over 10lbs, just really try to sit or lay down as much of the day you can. You probably should only be up to get something to eat or drink and go to the bathroom.

Hi! I don't know exactly what your chances are, but wanted to tell you not to panic. You're doctor is right to try to get another 2 weeks, because at 36 you are considered full term. But I wanted to calm you down a little. Babies born at 34 weeks have a 98% chance of survival -- which is only 1% less then full term babies, so don't panic too much. My nephew was born at 34 weeks (he's 6 days old now) -- he's in the NICU, but only as a precaution. He's eating and breathing fine, and should get to come home soon.

I had my baby at 34 1/2 weeks and he was 5 lbs 2 oz and we both went home 2 days later. He was extremely healthy. The only thing the dr did was give me steroid shots for 3 days when I noticed I was leaking water, etc..Just to make sure the babies lungs were developed. anything usually after 34 to 35 weeks should be fine.

it incredibly is terrible advice for a doctor to furnish. At 38 weeks it incredibly is secure to grant, yet why rush it? Why no longer wait untill the baby is waiting. Self inducing isn't secure, and various of the approaches dont artwork anyhow. ingesting Castor Oil provides you with the runs and make you ill. in case you opt to speed the exertions alongside at abode, the terrific element you're able to do is walk.

Just follow your dr's instructions and you'll be fine. Don't do any heavy work around home, just try to relax and take things easy...don't stress that will only make things worse. Good luck

to tell you the truth i dont hink that you will make it two weeks, but dont worry. my sis in law had the same thing happen to her and she went to the doc and they were trying to make her wait two weeks but she had went into labor in two days. she had the baby a month early. yeah she had to stay in there longer, but she is ok. now she is 18 months and running around. so dont worry hun. you and the baby will be fine.
