I just don't think it would be red. My friend tells me it HAS to be red.

I just don't think it could be red since Smurfs are magical creatures very much unlike humans and animals.
Does anyone have rationales behind their answers? I'm interested to hear why you think it's red or why you think it's pink ;)

This question had me think for a very long time. Although it has not been officially stated by anyone what is the true blood color. However the blood of most elf like creatures such as Smurfs are noted to be red. When any of the Smurfs blush it's red, just like you and me. It's a well known fact that when a person blushes they show their blood color. I hope that this answer was very informative to your liking.

They have blue blood and when it hits the air it turns red, just like us humans. Smurfs are human, aren't they? :O)

nah it has to be blue - like that Plava laguna in the film 5th element. She was blue and had blue blood too.
