neither. Nobody is listening to Kerry anymore anyhow. If it weren't for that gaff in yesterday's speech, we probably wouldn't know he said anything at all...

It will hurt the Dems. Kerry's mouth shifted all focus away from Foley, Iraq, corruption, Michael J Fox during the last week leading up to the election. He IS the media talking point now. Couldn't have worked out better if Rove designed it himself.... shifting the political focus back to national security and the sincerity of the Dem's comittment to it. Kerry's anti-military mask slipped off for that split second and he got caught.
I bet Reid, Pelosi, et al would like to strangle Senator Munster today.

Unfortunately, on the surface, it hurts democrats. Some politicians have already started to cancel some of their scheduled appearances with Kerry. But if you look at it a little deeper, I don't think that he was trying to criticize our troops. He said on some talk radio station that he was trying to make a joke and that he botched his words and was sorry about it. You can tell on the video of the speech that he paused waiting for laughter, and he received nothing but silence. Now I am not a democrat, and i actually voted for Bush in 04', but let's give him the benefit of the doubt. I mean bush himself has botched up a joke or a saying quite a few times during his presidency. Plus this is politics! It's a dirty game!

Quite frankly, John Kerry’s comments are irrelevant. If someone votes for candidate A instead of candidate B because of what John Kerry said, that someone is a dumb ***.

It hurts democrats because they are not being fairly represented . Most democrats do not loathe or scorn our military ; yet those representing them are calling all our brave men and women uneducated & unsmart -which translates as stupid -for those who need to hear the word .
