If your bf/gf were a hair dresser, or massage thereapist or simular profession. Should they charge you for their services? Charge you for the massage of the haircut? or should they do this for you, offer it to you for free?

I would offer it to my partner for free. Why would I talk money from the one I love for doing something to make them happy.

If you were a salesman at an Apple iPod store your BF or GF would not get their stuff free...and neither should you. A place of business is to make money not give freebies to BF's or GF's, moms, dads, siblings etc.

Now if your BF or GF offered to cut your hair or give you a massage (outside the workplace) then the assumption is that it is free...unless otherwise stated.

It should be free if they are doing it as foreplay. LOL
I would offer to pay if I was visiting their business establishment. if they accepted the money I would not be upset but if they refused the money I would still want to take that money and buy them a gift because I would look at their services as a gift. If they do it in your home then it is a favor unless they normally traveled to clients homes for their services otherwise if you are sleeping with them and you do not pay then you might come off as a prostitute.

No. My mother is a hairdresser and I have a couple of friends who are. I never have to pay.

My friends on the other hand, I discussed what they were comfortable with and they typically said just by me a drink sometime or a service that you specialize in. In my situation that would be a free computer class.

P.S. Check your 360 and mine. Quit being so sensitive. ;o)

it depends. Generally, No they don't have to, it be nice but there are grey areas, such as, if they offered to give you a massage, or if you ask them to cut your hair and you're at home. However if you make an appointment and go to their place of business then yeah fork over the dough.

Id say for free at home tho. Not go to there work place and ask for it for free as they may get sacked. But hell yes you shouldn't have to pay!

Free, at home, assuming that you also do things for them as well(especially if you are also in a "service industry" job)...In their place of employment, that depends strictly on the company policy.

Free or they will be on the couch... If I was a mechanic would they want to have to take there car else where? nope... So give it up.... If they were smart they would use it to there advantage.
