If you know of one (just kidding, of course), of if you have ANY advice on how to go through a divorce, please let me know. I'm going through one right now and it's not easy as you all know.

But, if you had to do it over again, WHAT would you have done differently and WHY?

I need a light here people. Things are going downhill fast...

I feel your pain. I to am about to go down the roller coaster that is divorce. What would i have done differently... Pretty easy really, appreciated the person I loved more, been more open with her and myself, built up trust instead of trying to bring it down. Why would i have done this... because she deserved it, that's the short answer. I have let the best thing Ive known slip through my fingers by being self centred instead of being open. I understand it hurts greatly, but If I come out the other end knowing that Ive learnt to be a better person then my son and I can hopefully have a healthy relationship with her. Good luck to you, be strong, and don't be afraid to cry.

There are some good books out there written for women who want a divorce. There are some written based on the state in which you reside with specific information regarding the laws in your state.m Some of the books are very helpful psychologically and others are law based.

Sorry, no manual. However, if you both can decide ahead of time how you're going to split everything before seeing a lawyer -- DO IT. Noone gets rich in a divorce except the lawyers if you drag and contest everything out.

Actually, there are lots of books about getting divorced. Go to your local library and check out a few. Ask the librarian for help.
