No file sharing program is inherantly safe... The program itself can cary malware, or things you download from other computers can contain malware. Sharaza seems to be better than either of "the wires" though.
That said, you can protect your computer from most of that stuff by having a virus scanner, and making sure it's up-to-date.
I recommend AVG Free edition...

Limewire is both Safe and Unsafe.
I Downloaded a song from their and turned out it was a Trojan.
It's Unsafe cause almost anyone with access to a keylogged can share it and rename it as a different file.
If you wanna risk it, go ahead.
I Can Recommend something else.
Its Called "Ares".
Google it and you might find it.

Limewire pro is awesome, it scans as it downloads and notifies you if something is wrong!

Try bearshare. That's what I use and whatever is illegal to download-they just don't allow you to, that way you won't get into trouble for "stealing" songs.
