You would first convert it to a fraction.

.5555... = 5/9

In general, when you have a repeating decimal, just put the repeating portion over an equivalent number of nines. So .5555... = 5/9

(As another example, .1818... = 18/99 = 2/11, and .135135... = 135/999 = = 15/111 = 5/37)

So once you convert the repeating number to a fraction you have 30 5/9%

In words this is "thirty and five-ninths percent"

if the fives after the decimal are continuing, then it would be "thirty and five-ninths percent." (5/9=0.555555)
