i think that it is silly & dangerous, i live in San Farancisco, and in the castro there is a HUGH block party (like over 100,000 people) for adults to go and party, well last night 10 people got shot there!!!!
http://cbs5.com/topstories/local_story_304202330.html
why is it ok for adults to go around drinking & partying with masks on?? doesnt that seem just a bit dangerous??? i can understand if they want to dress up to take their kids out, but isnt it just a bit silly to get all decked out for no reason at all.... except to be really drunk?? (Maybe im just bitter that people went on a shooting spree)...what are your opinions???

sing-...ok that is true that just because someone goes out to "party" doesnt mean they are gonna get drunk, but in THIS paticular case it does...there were several check points thru the city, San Francsico is know for having off the wall over the top partys, and EVERYONE that i have EVER seen there has been S*HIT FACED!!! im not against adults having fun, but at what cost??

I think anytime you get over 100,000 people together there will be some elements that could potentially lead to the tragic thing that happened at this party. I don't think its really related to the fact they were getting dressed up and partying for Halloween necessarily. Same thing could very well have happened for any celebration or gathering of people. I don't see anything wrong with adults dressing up and celebrating Halloween. I have done it myself on many Halloweens and no one at any event I attended ever got hurt. Haven't you heard of being young at heart?

Halloween is for anyone who likes to have fun. What's wrong with that? I love Halloween and getting dressed up and I'm 27. Yes, it is a kids holiday primarily. Only the kids go trick or treating, but the adults can still have fun, too.

there is nothing wrong with adults wanting to dress up for Halloween. There is only something wrong with the people how use it to take advantage and hurt others. another thing....just because people go out to a party doesn't mean they are going to get drunk. People do that every other weekend anyhow just because they want to. Let people be themselves, if they want to dress up and be something/someone different once a year, there is nothing wrong with that.

I went to a Halloween social gathering 300 and sixty 5 days and this dude went as a "Cereal Killer" He did no longer have money for a dress the two and could no longer circulate until he dressed up. It replaced into fantastically humorous. He tied a container of cereal around his neck and caught a knife... (i think of he in basic terms use a plastic knife) interior the trail of it and placed faux blood around it. additionally... this is previous, yet you will possibly be able to correctly be a "black eyed pea" Or in case you have some friends (one this may well be a woman must be Fergie) that all and sundry % to do it circulate as "The Black Eyed Peas" in basic terms black out one among your eyes and paint a huge P or use marker on an previous T-shirt or sweatshirt. the two suggestions are hassle-free and espresso-fee!!

I still love to dress up and celebrate Haloween, and I'm 49. It's a chance to let that "inner child" out, to be playful and carefree. And not every adult who enjoys the holiday gets drunk and stumbles around, I went to several parties that were alcohol free this year

The idiots who did the shooting & the others who get completely wasted tend to spoil it for the adults who want to go in costume, get rowdy & have fun. I see nothing wrong with dressing up & going to parties in costume. I usually wear a costume to work. It's all in fun - that's all that matters!!

Wearing costumes is part of the Halloween spirit.
I hate adults who are too cool (ie uptight) or too mature (ie boring) that don't wear costumes to halloween parties and events.
and people get drunk on many other nights not just halloween - St. Paddy's day comes to mind.
