I am a dancer and I was wondering if this was normal for anyone or something like that...
Whenever I arch my foot it cramps up really bad and when I hold a position like that for too long It really hurts
Is there any way to make it so it goes away or stops hurting

Maybe you lack Potassium. Eat lots of bananas.

And if you get cramps in the arch of your foot, flex it. When standing up, push your toes down. When you're sitting down, push your toes toward you and flex your foot.

It could also be hereditary, like in my case. I have no clue if there's a cure for it. I just live with it. Warming up and stretching before any dance activity helps me prevent those cramps.

You will also get leg cramps in different areas. This is a muscle spasm. Also you might have authritis which you can't do anything about.

You might visit an osteopath or a chiropractor if you think it might help.

it sounds like you may have an injury of some kind. try gently stretching out the foot and working it in good b4 dancing.
