at night on a weekday you can go about 85-95 mph if you are lucky.

I've done and been in a care where someone else was driving and the speed was 100 - 105. But, when I realized how fast I was going, because sometimes you don't realize it when there are no cars around you, I surely slowed down!! Now adays almost all the rental cars do not allow you do past 100. Once you get to 100 the car does this jerky thing and of course you automatically slow down.

about 80-85 seems to be the average speed people do without any worries. Of course it is REALLY easy to floor it on such a long, straight highway. I rented a van that had a governor on the engine so I couldn't get past 100, but I was doing about 95 the whole way without a problem.

To fast, I'm not saying that I don't speed, but some of these
a$$holes just don't know when to slow down. I've seen many crashes going to and coming from California, and you know speed was involved when you see the back half of a car pushed to the front seats. So when I see speeders go flying by I hope and pray that they wreck and kill themselves. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a mean person, but when these a$$holes go flying by like they own the road, F#&% them, let'um die.

HAHAHAHAH!!!
I knew someone who said he could do it in under 2 1/2 hours- I wonder how the landing was? =) I drove it in 3 hours and 45 minutes - which I gather is pretty d*mn quick.
