In reading about alcohol and lactation recently, I wonder if the MTF transgenders or even the mammary-stimulated homosexuals (commonly called shemales) ever lactate, as in produce breast milk? The hormonal players are prolactin and oxytocin, yet physical stimulus is very important, such as sucking or hearing a baby's cry. So if a transgendered was working a nursery, would that induce lactation? (Obviously, the incidental sucking of lovemaking would have hit the news if that were all it took, so that wouldn't count.)

It can happen if hormone mix and stimulation is set to allow it, but I don't think they commonly do.
And contrary to what the other guy said, the glands *are* there in males, just dormant. There have been cases where non-transgendered men started lactating, usually because something in the environment was messing with their hormone levels.

we are called transsexuals. not all transgendered people take the hormones needed to stimulate tissue growth and the glands.
a crossdresser is not likely to start lactating since they do not take hormones. i believe the estrogen level must be extremly high in the female range and the testosterone must be almost non existant.

if your going to talk about transgendered people get your information straight.

transgender = people that identify as the opposite gender to include crossdressers, drag queens and transsexuals (m2f and f2m).

it does not mean someone that has had surgery. that would be a post-op transsexual. i am a transsexual and i am pre-op, this also means i fit into the transgendered catagory.

i myself have not started lactating but i have heard of others that have. i wouldnt mind lactating and might try to stimulate the glands with a breast pump.

Honey, do as the other guy said and go to the ER. you can be doing some serious damage to your body just because of your impatience. playing with things like this is very dangerous. get some professional help. most people here in Y!A are not professionals, so DO NOT TAKE ANY MEDICAL ADVICE FROM ANY OF US. just get yourself to a real doctor before it's too late.

It is possible assuming everything is intact and undamaged by the surgery. Men can(although it isn't common at all) lactate.
