If you had the implant removed Oct. 5th, you are not giving the contraceptive time to get out of your system. RELAX!!!! If you already have two boys, there is every reason to think you can have a third. And there is no need to have sex every day (not unless you just want to). There are only a few days out of the month when you can get pregnant and that is while you are ovulating. I had my son at forty and had no problem getting pregnant when I was ready by doing the following:
#1 Waited three months after getting off contraceptives so I would have a healthy egg and sperm and knew when to expect my periods.
#2 I bought ovulation tests (they sell cheap at Walmart and you just pee on the stick). You can also tell when ovulation begins by the eggwhite discharge (I know thats gross but I want to help).
11 days after my period, I began using the test. When I peed on a stick and indicated my peak ovulation, I had a lot of sex during the next three days.
#3 After sex, I propped a pillow under my butt and watched tv a little while
#4 I now have a beautiful, healty two year old boy
(happy old mama!)
#5 Stop worrying! You are freaking out too soon and it doesn't help anything. You have every reason to EXPECT another baby so go to it!

So if you started bleeding on the 21st, lets say your a normal 28 day cycle, then you would ovulate approx 14 days from then So you should be ovulating some time this weekend. That's why you haven;t been able to get pregnant yet. You also won't know if you conceived until 14 days after that. So your just going to have to be patient. I'm sure that you'll be able to get pregnant just fine, but your body might need some time to regulate before you do.

Good Luck.

I was on depo for a few years, I too have 2 children one of each ages 5&7. I went off the shot in February, began getting periods in May. Then they became more frequent every 2 weeks!! So my OB put me on clomid I did 4 rounds and found out this month that I ovulated, so in a few days I'll be able ot test. So it just takes time, research signs of ovulation on the internet, only have sex every other day, you should ovulate on somewhere between days 12-17 of your cycle. Check your cervical mucus around that time, it will be like egg whites, that means you're ovulating you need that in order to conceive. It may take some time, trust me I know.

I had an implant, and had no trouble conceiving after having it removed.

I think I have just answered another of your questions, or someone has a really simular story.

If you period started on the 21st of Oct you should be ovulating any day now. So keep at it.

Finger crossed.

it can take anything up to a year for the hormones to leave your system, but you need to have a few normal periods first so you can find out your ovulating period - if you do not conceive by 6 months time I strongly recommend accupuncture - 2 women I know had this to regulate their periods after being on the pill for over 10 years and conceived within 3 months !!!!

Don't worry, you will be able to conceive again! It takes quite a while for the body to get rid completely of the effect of the implant!
But if you're still not sure ask your GP!

I believe you have a good chance at conceiving this time, but there is really only a 15-20% chance of you becoming pregnant every month, and this is something my fertility specialist told me, as we are under the care of him, as we have been TTC my 2nd, my husband's 1st for 3 years. I have been under the care of the specialist for a little over a year, have done 3 procedures of IUI (doc told me the percentage is about the same as conceiving normally, which is 15-20%). IVF is next step for us, which the doctor told us the chances of conceiving with IVF, meaning the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus, is actually significantly higher that normal conception or IUI, he said the chances jump to 40-50%. Those are his success rates for IVF. Forgot to say this, I wish you the best of luck conceiving, lots of baby dust to you!!

I think it could take up to a year after stopping progesterone--that is the case with depo, and the implants are a chemical relative to the drug used in depo.

Here is an article on the same topic for depo-provera.

try having sex every other day. It'll be a little hard to know when your ovulating unti lyou get used to tracking, for at least a few months. Best Wishes!!
