I seem to remember one person telling me that is repeats...wake, eat, train for battle, fight and die and then it repeats again in a timeless cycle until Ragnorok? Is this view or description correct?

Every day, the slain warriors who will assist Odin in Ragnarök, the gods' final conflict with the giants, arm themselves for battle and ride forth by the thousands to engage in mock combat on the plains of Asgard. At night, they return to Valhalla to feast on roasted boar and drink intoxicating mead. This cycle repeats until Ragnarök.

I only know that a "Horn of Valhalla" can summon Heroes. If they are killed, they just go back to Valhalla.

there is a book titled " Norse Stories " that describes this in detail. certainly your library has it or can get it under inter library loan. this book was so interesting I spent the money and xeroxed the entire book.
