like i told you a little while ago, i used the same pantene you use when i took a shower, and it was as if eastland came up and punched me in the face. it was so weird...i could remember things like that old pink floral couch we had in the back room, and caramel and her kittens out back. it was a pretty powerful moment.

also, every time i smell blue BOD, i think of james, since he wore it alllll the time when he was living with us.

there are a lot of those things, but i can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Bananas, unfortunately, bring back a memory that I have had since I was about 3 years old. I was sick and the doctor prescribed an antibiotic that was liquid and banana flavour. When you are sick to your stomach you can develop an aversion to something that you formerly enjoyed. I ralphed, quite coincidentally, after being dosed with this stuff. I can remember everything about the kitchen of my folks apartment in fact I could even tell you where things were placed. I remember it was a sunny winter day and I threw up all over the kitchen table.
I still cannot eat bananas and this is my least favourite smell.

When they refinished the tennis courts at the Racket Club it reminded me of the time I got in a car accident because it had the same smell as the explosives in the air bag.

I remembered another one. It's so weird. Aaron used to wear some Ralph Lauren cologne and whenever I smell it, it reminds me of all the crazy crap we used to do together as teenagers.

My pasta gravy sometimes reminds me of my mother although it is probably a false memory. I got the original recipe from her, but I have changed it so much over the years that it is hard to believe it actually smells the same.

Yea..... i'm not quite sure what the smell sis though. It was the scent that my cousin carried with him all the time, i don't quite know how to explain it or what it smells like.... but if i smell it, I know it. It just seems to trigger all the fun memories that I had with him.... it is just as if it's a movie.

it the smell kinda reminds me of mens cologne though.

But don't think that my cousins is dead.... he just went off to college and I don't really see him.

It's funny. We inherited an old end table from my grandfather. In the process of carrying it into my house, 1,900 miles away, the doors opened and I got a whiff of the air inside. I had a momentary memory of Christmas as a child - vivid too. I could see the plastic Tree with fat light bulbs and hear the music box in my head...

A good fart reminds me of the first time I successfully pinned one on a woman behind me in a grocery store checkout line. It was my SBD but I played it good and people were blaming her and she was very embarassed. I left quickly and rolled in the parking lot laughing my *** off.
