I already know I'll regret asking this but here goes. Why do people like to watch movies that make them physically sick?
It's been on the news that ambulances were called to 3 people watching Saw 3 this week and one even ended up in hospital. I don't get it.

Because, the extreme feelings and andreline makes them feel alive. I heard a description of some of the scenes in the movie, and that alone was enough to make me shudder. Its sad, these days scary films have no PLOTS its just a big gore fest! I hardly ever watch "scary" movies, and the ones I do watch (a grand total of about 4) are very mild. Their usually just suspense, not gore and blood! And even if they get to much, I always have a good group of friends surrounding me, and a blanket to hide my face in if I get too scared!

because they think they can handle it and deny the fact that they dont have the stomach for it. people need to learn what they can and can't handle. Like Hostel-people were running out of the theaters, into the bathrooms and throwing up because it was so gory and disturbing and sick. Think of it this way-people are only human.

Good question.If the people who enjoy these kind of films were to witness the REAL horror that some people suffer,it would probably put them off these films for life.

I've seen the movie and I loved it. Some people just don't think. And they're stupid for watching movies they can't handle.

Its called hype. It most likely never happened. Either that or the people concerned where easily frightened sissys

i watched it and didn't get physically sick. those people didn't go in there knowing they would get sick. So...they DON"T like to watch things that make them sick! If they knew it would happen, they wouldn't have seen it!!!

For the adrenalin rush, it's addictive and getting one on your own sofa is oh so easy compared to extreme sports!
