Well, after watching Saw 1 i was really looking forward to Saw 2, which as far as i am concerned wasn't as good as Saw 1 and my hopes for Saw 3 went down, but last night i got a free pass from my friend for an advance private screening of Saw 3.
I can promise you one thing this movie is just like Saw 1 and has everything and loads more of gore than Saw 1 & 2.
The acting particularly is good, but its the story and the plot that is extremely well written and of course the Twists again like the first 2 are huge and much much much much more enthralling and shocking! This movie is a reminder of Saw 1 and really sets the tone for more Saw movies to come i would be heartbroken if this Saw series ends here because its getting interesting with each part.
Thumbs up to Saw 3, a must see, go and watch it and experience the shocks! 8/10

You knew that the idea of serial killers' victims being made complicit in their own gruesome deaths was just too sick to die after two movies. And those who find rapture in watching physical and psychological torture at their most extravagant will find that "Saw III" keeps twisting the cringe dials toward ever higher frequencies. Hey, whatever makes your Saturday night, right?
The new "Saw" wastes little time ripping flesh in nasty places. A couple of characters from the previous installment get to "play a game" with metal fasteners, high explosives and flesh-eating acid. And that's just in the first few minutes.
Then the real game's afoot as "Jigsaw" John (Tobin Bell), the cunning sadist behind these elaborate games, arranges to have a brilliant surgeon (Bahar Soomekh) kidnapped and wired to explode unless she agrees to relieve pressure in his brain from a tumor. (Is that really the problem, pal?) His feral assistant Amanda (Shawnee Smith) keeps watch on his latest test involving a grieving father (Angus Macfadyen) forced to confront the various people responsible for the death of his 8-year-old son.
Of course, that's not all there is to it, and this reviewer is, so to speak, dying to tell you more. But we're just as afraid of the consequences of breaking rules as John's potential victims are. Instead, we'll just entertain you by mentioning such extraneous details as a human skull being opened and probed, a naked woman being frozen to death, a man drowning in the ground-up carcasses of dead pigs ... As we said, we can't disclose all the stuff that makes "Saw III" clever, can we?

They're faaaar from boring. I've seen all 3 of them and I think that the third is definitely the most gorey. There was this one scene in particular that really turned my stomach.
Go see it! haha.
If you haven't seen the first 2 then I think you'll be a little lost in the third one, but not enough to not get the movie. You'll still get the gist of what's happening/happened.
