I just read the article. Since the article is a negative comment on YET ANOTHER Republican drummed out of public service for improper behavior, they will say it's all lies and Dems are making too much of it, while they can't stop talking about the media coverage of Kerry's remarks. Typical.

Brushing all Republicans as "racist" because of one Florida legislator is unfair. That's like branding all Democrats as "adulterers" because of Bill Clinton. Bush has a black female as his Secratary of State but gets no credit for that. Individuals are racist and any individual can be a part of a group.

Big deal, about 100 Democrats that attacked the Minutemen in NYC called a black member that numerous times, plus tried to assault him physically. Go fix your party and we'll take care of our own. Funny how your KKK member Byrd is still serving while this guy had honor and quit.

If he resigned, doesn't that indicate that the Republicans are intolerant of this kind of behavior? Unlike Democrats who defend their behavior when caught in scandals.

This is the "Classic Racist Republican" - "but I was drunk" so don't blame me crap - I don't think it worked for Mel Gibson but it sure works for Repubs and their sheep followers!

"Arza had acknowledged leaving the message on fellow Republican Rep. Gus Barreiro's voice mail last month but said he was drunk. Arza.....learned that Barreiro had filed a complaint alleging he had earlier used a racial epithet when referring to Miami-Dade County school superintendent Rudy Crew, who is black. He used the same epithet in his phone message to Barreiro, who is Hispanic, but he has vehemently denied ever using a racial slur to refer to Crew."

Classic....I tell you!

No to the first question and yes to the second.

Now if other racists (cough, cough democrats) would follow his lead, perhaps racism might abate.
