I was listining to the radio today and several people were calling in to complain about how the Republicans never get credit for all the good stuff they have done. I was just curious but what "good stuff" have the Republicans done? Can you name 5 really good things this party has done for the United States?

Made our Surplus into a deficit?
Started a War on lies for his own personal gain?
Gave tax cuts to the rich?
Murdered innocent Americans?
Made Americans even more hated across the globe?
tell me what he has done that was any good?

The only thing worth mentioning is the Tax Cuts (and yes everybody got a cut).
Terrorists-- yes we haven't had an attack but who knows why that is. We have had an impact on terrorists but no way of telling if interdiction has really made an impact.
They can't claim much for the economy rebounding. It was due to lowering of interest rates and partially due to tax cuts. And, of course infusing tons of money (borrowed money) into the military-industrial complex economy via the Iraq war.
9/11 - mess. It should never hav happened. If they were on the ball and listened to the signals, it would not have happened. Presidential briefing anybody?
katrina- mess
national debt - mess
immigration - mess
education - next to nothing. NCLB is a fed mandate w/out funding. They shouldn't even be involved in local education.
Iraq - mess
Afghanistan - mess
Campaign finance reform - nothing
Trade policy - nothing
Medicare drug program - mess-- unfunded, more debt, confusing, complex
Social Security - nothing
Health Care - nothing
Civil Rights - continually eroded, bypass laws (e.g. FISA) and established secret interogation centeres, outright lies
Tons of scandals, illegal activity

The only things they can brag about is the economy (which is because Bush has endorsed big business and left the middle class with rising health care and housing costs, high inflation, and deteriorating social security)
And also lowered unemployment (which because of what I described above, middle class citizens have been forced to get jobs like never before because of a rising cost of living)

I llost my new car,I had to file bankruptcy,my job was sent overseas,I got more taxes back, but the fuel cost are causing me to cut some of my medications out, and the increased energy bills and food cost, have caused my family to eat more hamburger.

Yeah and when they actually accomplish something...
Even if you dont agree with their policies, where have they gone?
1. Immigration
2. Healthcare
3. Gay Marriage Ban
4. No child left behind is ruining our schools and children
All brought up for politics, with NOTHING DONE!

2. TOUGH on terror
3. Lowered taxes
4. NO child left behind - Education
5. Nominated Supreme Court Justices that will not make law (Congress does that) but interprets it according to the Constitution.
