I took a pregnancy test and the negative bar showed up, but I kinda wet the little window without wanting to, and there's a slight purple tone. Could that mean that it's positive? or could the urine made it that way? I'm flipping out because I don't know if that matters.

On most tests, a small amount of urine hitting the window will not effect anything. Most also get a slight bluish/purple blur due to the chemical reaction with the urine that causes the negative/positive and control indicators. If you are unsure, though, wait a day or two, and repeat the test.

when i took my first pregnancy test, it actually came out with nothing at all. So I took a second one and it said neg. Come to find out a couple weeks later, i was pregnant, and at that time, I had taken 9 test just to be sure. So u may or may not be pregnant, but I would wait a couple of days just to make sure and then take one again.

You should read the instructions I am sure that it has the negative sign and the positive sign to show you.And if you are flipping out you should just take another test so you could be sure.But be sure that you do exactly what the instructions tell you to do.Good luck

Definitely take another one. That happened on my first test, you should not let that little window get wet at all. But when I took another one it showed up positive.

I would guess negative. Take another test to be sure, but if the second line didnt show up, it is probably a false test.

Hmmm this is a tricky one. I would definitely buy a 2-pack or 3-pack and take another one tomorrow. I would also wait until you are at least 3 to 5 days late for your period before taking another test.
Use first morning urine. FIRST RESPONSE brand is a particularly sensitive test.

you should buy another test. Try peeing in a disposable cup if you were peeing straight on the test.
Don't flip out, just assume it's negative or void. and try again.

I'd say it's negative. Your urine may have smeared the line. But they won't make the 2nd line disappear if you were pregnant.

The test is actually detecting the pregnancy hormone HCG. Retake test is you can.
