Well, it's a weird thing of human psychology. Humans tend to re-create the relationships of their parents - even replicating undesirable abusive relationships! I learned from an ex-girlfriend from a similar dysfunctional family that she would subconsciously dump emotional abuse on me to the point where I felt angry enough that I wanted to hit her. The thing that saved me was that I knew from all my past relationships that this wasn't something I felt with anyone else and I wasn't naive enough to mistake it for love. She then did the same thing with the next guy, who I did not envy one bit.

So the question is, "why do they LIKE it?" I don't know that they truely LIKE it. It seems to me that it's accidental. One person on here answered one of my questions by stating that many people "move through life like human bulldozers" - without any self-analysis or reflection. These women may be making their relationships in the image of that of their parents without realizing what they are doing because they have not stopped to think things through so that they could change the fate they are writing for themselves.

Now here is the reason why you are asking this question: You care enough to wonder why. It's like the horror movie where you want to scream "don't do that ridiculously stupid thing! Don't you know the (monster) is going to get you if you do that!?" Only, the reality is that in this situation you COULD tell them and 9 times out of 10 they will STILL do what was stupid because it is a habit their parents modeled for them for YEARS.

The real monsters of the world take advantage of this knowledge to hurt women further. Those that would make the world a happier place to live may even go so far as to struggle to change things for the better, but will face many disappointments. What is the right thing to do?

some girls are just so tied up in lust that they feel that guys love them when they slap them around.to me its all dumb because there is no way that I'll allow guys to beat me up just to prove a point that he loves me and he really don't.well there are some nice girls out here who treat guys right and and do respect them so that they don' turn into their punching bag

They have low self esteem and think it is affection or they think that is what they deserve. Woman are not punching bags and they need to be treated the way they deserve.
