yes he is retiring..and seeing other similar questions...people want another damn old guy to take over..they will just retire in a few years anyways..how about some young flesh in there to renew the program..how who do you think would make a good host?..how about Carson Daly..even though he is a monotone robot..but its better than him attempting to host a comedy show

I agree that it should be someone young - but somebody new that we don't know yet. It has to be somebody that appeals to the older generation and I can't think of anybody we already know of. Maybe some former child star.

They announced this today. And it is a milestone in the history of daytime television that Bob Barker is leaving "The Price Is Right" after 35 years. Barker has been with the show since it premiered on CBS on September 4,1972 and it has been seen everyday since. By the way,the show will never be the same without Bob Barker. The only game show that is on network television that is decent wholesome family entertainment.
Besides..."The Price Is Right" was way better than those replusive bitches on "The View". Believe that,Bob Barker rules!!! And always will!!!

the show will not be the same without Bob Barker. it most likely will get canceled. no one can take his place. I watched the show for years. I think it is time they take it off since Bob is leaving. and I am not a granny either

I'm going to miss him. He made televison good. Carson could be good but he will never replace Bob.

i think the whole show should be retired. the set, the washers and dryers, Barker's Beauties, the whole thing.

I think the nest host should also be oldish just because of the demographics of viewers.

I think lots of grannys sit at home and watch The Price Is Right during the day.
