I'm assuming those facts are correct however, I would believe if I saw the whole bill (appropriation). How do you know pork-belly wasn't attached? How do you know there wasn't an attached appropriations or spending bills that give millions to disenfranchised homeless artisans that do murals of anti-christ?

Sure, that may sound stupid or funny but, How do you know? A single line data entry does not a story tell.

I think its hard to say actually until the Dems, and they will, have the majority in the House. The Republican answer to this is get defensive and show off your precious yellow ribbon on you big SUV. I typically view both parties and completely corrupt, but when the Dems have not been in power in 12 years, we've gotten ONE party's decisions that have been disastrous. I'm not sure the Dems would do any better, but I will say its interesting that 11 out of the 12 Iraqi veterans running for Congress, are running as Democrats.

I love Jack Baurer ....I wish we could wave a magic wand and know every step of the way so the US would make no mistakes but it is impossible . I think our troops deserve respect . I think our Congressmen need to be selfless and represent THE PEOPLE not their own interests . We would not care what party just DO IT.

No I don't care about troops who are fighting an unnecessary war, who chose to sign up for the army and are using up government funds to go blow up innocent people. I care about sick kids in hospital, the elderly, the disabled, people who did not choose to be in the position they are in. And no, they are not defending my freedom, if anything they're making my country more of a target.

One thing is for damned sure. Kerry does not care for them. He has, on three occasions that I know of, verbally abused our troops. I know your question was worded in a manner as to infer that since no one cared for our troops, that Kerrys statement was not so bad. Well, it was mean, unthoughtful and bad.

Everyone cares about the troops except for their commander-in-chief, with him all the troops are just pawns to be sacrificed for the c-i-c's own personal beliefs and agendas.

Care of the military should NOT be drawn according to political lines. Kerry made a direct insult and anyone who thinks differently needs their head examined.
