solstice?

We never recieve reflected sunlight but we do recieve refracted sunlight. The day the sun shines directly over the equator is the equinox, either spring or fall. During that day the light is not refracted on the equator.
Perihelion is the time when the Earth is nearest to the Sun. Aphelion is when the Earth is furthest from the Sun

Not sure what this means. Most of the light from the sun comes directly, not reflected. Everywhere on Earth always gets a little reflected solar light at all times, if only from zodiacal dust.
