That's a good question. She is breaking the "girlfriend code." Which states you can not date your best friend's leftovers. If you really want to know the answer to your question. Ask yourself this, "Is this guy worth all this drama; like cutting out of the picture?" Think about it.

It really depends on how serious your friend and the guy were. As a guy, if a friend of mine got with a girl that I was really serious with and had a history with... i would be very upset, and probably never want to see either of them again. Which if you don't mind losing a friend, could still work out fine. So if there are still feelings of hurt or love between the two, then doing so could easily end your friendship. If there weren't any serious feelings involved between the two though, than it wouldn't be a big deal at all IMO.

Why sweat it? So she has feelings for your ex, big deal. If your not dating him anymore their should'nt be a problem. She only hid it from you because all chicks freak out about that stuff. Some dudes do too. That is how people meet each other, through other people. People meet and date through socializing. Your friend wants to keep you as a friend that is why she didn't tell you. Maybe she knows something about your character that you don't. Or maybe she just feels guilty. All in all, you should not sweat it. Life is to short to worry about other peoples lives. Worry about your own and get yours....

It depends. I can see it from both sides. She was perhaps afraid of your reaction. Perhaps both of them were. If you two are over, then each of them is free to speak to whoever.
How long was it after you two broke up that they were talking? Did she know you still had feelings for him? Did he know?
Was it so harmless? Was she in any way encouraging or your breakup?
I don't mean to be negative as I only know your situation from what you wrote, but you probably have some things to think about and consider.

obviously, she hid it from you because she KNEW there was something wrong with it. Don't let it ruin your friendship if you're good friends, but tell her how you felt about it and that it's weird for you--if she's a good friend she'll understand. Now, how are you gonna handle it though when/if they start dating more seriously and you guys might have to hang out around each other again? Now THAT might get weird...

i feel that you should cut both of them a break because neither one of them maturely came to you and told you about them talking.and i don't think that friends should talk to friends ex's because its completely wrong whether strong feelings were in envolved or not.she's not a real friend and the guy's no good.

I think if she was your good friend then she would have told you up front about her wanting to date your ex-boyfriend. Since she hid it from you then she knows you would be mad. Just let her know how you feel, if she really cares about you then she will listen to you but be prepared for her to get mad. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to ask yourself how good of a friend is she really? I don't think it's ever a good idea to date a friends ex no matter how long it's been.Only bad feelings come from this.

If she was a good friend she should have discussed it with you. Also, there is a waiting period required among friends. Unfortunately we are not given a rule book, so tell her how you feel and if she sincerely regrets hurting you forgive her this time.

It depends on the situation and how you and he feel about eachother. She definitely should have talked to you because this can cause for an awkward situation. But if you are over him or don't want him anymore than let her have her chance to have fun and be happy
