Freelance Graphic Design?

A friend of mine wants me to develop a logo for her cousin's band, and she asked how much I charge... I have NO idea what to tell her??

For little stuff like that, I charge $25 per hour. Even if it takes only 20 minutes, still charge $25.

If you're in a larger city, going rates are up to 75 an hour; and half up front, half when first proof is picked up. Charge for changes also. I.e., if they said they wanted blue/green/orange, and now want pink/yellow/olive, you need to charge for those changes. You can't charge for corrections, if you made the error, however.
