It seems you have a ball-mouse..
Open the lid at the bottom and clean it using alcohol and an ear bud..

I think you should just throw the whole thing out of the window... you don't need a computer, you can come over to my house and use mine!!!! You can come play with my mouse anytime!!!

if you can take the mouse ball out of the mouse do it. mine collects lint which jams up the rollers in the mouse. because of it, i don't use a cloth covered mouse pad

Usually, when a mouse freezes on the screen it is because of computer crash, not because of the mouse. Get your computer checked instead...

isn't your computer wrong ? i saw an old one, whitch had similar errors. the problem was the CPU. it was really really hot.......
