I wish I knew. I cant stand people who obsess about what everyone else thinks. And how they change how they act around every person they know.

It's human nature. We in general are a social group & we seek approval & acceptance with each other. In children this can be seen clearly, but with maturity we're taught to hide those needs behind a mask of independence & self-sufficiency.

As everyone would put it, its all human nature...
Let me tell an incident... You go on a road... murmuring ur favourite number(song)...
ur foot gets tumbled upon by something on the road...
Your immediate reaction?
Yes... look out whether some one watched that...
Ya... its none other than human nature... and the need to be seen as a "PERFECT INDIVIDUAL" among other people...

I'm not sure. I've learned to go beyond this. Who cares? That's the attitude to take to survive in the world. Try it!

Sadly, what ppl think of you is important because they give their views to other ppl you either do not know or who only know you slightly.
I understand what you are saying, but please, understand what I am saying to.
Rightly or wrongly, what others think of you can have a huge impact on your life.
