Ok, i took a pregnancy test today. I read the instructions and it said not to let the little window of the result to get wet. I tried my hardest but still got a little wet on it. The result showed up negative, because it only has one line on it. however, on the side in the end there is some bit of purple color. Could that just be the wetness of the sprinkle of urine on it? AHHH i'm so mad! Now I am not sure what that is!

It could just be from getting wet. When I took a pregnancy test and it was positive it was very clear and I've seen several of my friends that were positive and they come out pretty clear. I would take another one to be sure though. Dip it in a cup this time so u dont take the chance of getting it wet.

Sounds like you really should take another test. The best way to do it is to pee in a cup and then dip the test in, it helps to avoid any errors and also ensures you get enough on the test strip. From your description I would say it's still a negative, but retest using the cup method. I know it's frustrating, when you really want to know and you get mixed results, but calm down and do it again. Good luck!

get another test and get one of those that you pee in the cup first then drop the urine into the well of the test. There is less chance of getting the window wet. Best of luck to you!!

Go back and get another test. It states in the directions if it gets wet you will need to re test. Just try and be careful not to get the next one wet.

I took one of those tests and my positive line was real light...so I got a First Response test that actually says Pregnant or Not Pregnant and it was so much better...I ended up being pregnant...so I would go and buy another test...and try again..just to be safe.

if it was positive a full second line should show up. don't get your hopes up just because of a little purple smudge. sorry. since the control line showed up your test is fine and more than accurate. sorry you are not pregnant, yet. keep trying and good luck.

i have made that mistake it was positive though1 therefore i dont think it makes a difference. Take another for peace of mind. Good luck!

next time follow the instructions where you pee into a cup and then dip the test in... way easier.
