I need to write a paper on a technology invented/developed in Philadelphia like Baldwin Locomotive Works, or water works, etc for my history of technology paper. I am so confused, and 'googled' for it, but I can't find anything. Just a topic would be great? Please, I am desperate !!!

And I wrote my first paper on an invention by Ben Franklin. So, I need to base my second paper on anything not invented by Franklin.

They say that in 50 million years, our era may be marked by nothing more than a thin layer of steel and concrete in the geologic column. Nobody's found anything like that yet, so I'm guessing the answer is "no". But I do get the feeling we're setting ourselves up for a cycle of boom and bust just like this.
