It was posted 6-8pm and I thought that was something at the building. But it was actually a command/suggestion. Kids went out at 6 and it all died at 8. I'm in Rural PA. AND was not like this the last 3 years we've been living here.
SO... Now I'm curious how it is everywhere else. (I still have tons of candy left!)

Adolencence peanuts from the gallery who answer 24hrs or the like.. need not answer so literally and completely. If you want the points, then just say go... it's take a grown-up to say 'thank you for the 2 points'.

Probably because it fell on a TUESDAY. It was the same around where I live, all the kids started around 5:30-6 and died out around 7:30, we almost ran outta candy, but not quite.

My kids came home from school had a snack did their homework and by 5:30 they were ready to walk out the door. Hubby got home at 6 took them treating i got a lawn chair and my bowl of candy and my paper to count them and sat outside till I ran out of candy which was around 8:45. 11:00 pm the teenagers were still walking around .Midnight was the curfew for the neighborhood. We live in like a gated community. they had shadow officers out most of the night. Tried to stay up to watch ghost hunters but pasted out just before 11.Ofcourse considering my kids have been screaming about halloween since it turned october it was very long.

My halloween was from 6:35 to 7:43.
I still have tons of candy left. Fortunately, I gave out that which I would not like and saved that which I would snack upon

same ehre. las tyear we have 70 kids and lasted 11 pm. lastnight we started at 6pm until9pm. with 25 kids only. possible due the cold weather. moist kids have school party and even the mall started @5pm and out of candies already. then it died off early.so what i do is when i notice that the gap of kids knocking in my door is so slow i give lots of kids . Intuition and observation i say. so i still have candies left but not that much.

This was the best halloween ever, because all of my children are grown, and it's been so long since I actually went out trick or treating. I took my 3 year old grandson and we had a blast. He dressed as an incredible (dash) and he was so cute and excited.

"Official" Trick or Treating was from 6 to 8 p.m. here in IL. Many of the stores and restaurants were handing out treats before and after those times though.

we turned off the lights around 9 pm here. so I guess about 4 hours for TrickorTreaters. Of course, we went out after that to a party!

Seemed like a normal day to me, for some reason when it was 7:30 I was expecting it to be around 10 pm. It wasn't. A nice long night. enjoyed it
