Yes, the sulfur in hard-boiled eggs give the yolk a greenish tint. if you are talking about the shell color, there is a breed of chicken called the araucana/amerucana that can lay bluish-green eggs. I don't know really know the mechanisms to why the shell color comes out a certain way, but i do know that you can look at a hen and determine what color her egg shells will be by looking at her ear lobes (ie. white egg layer will have white ear lobes, brown egg layer will have brown ear lobes) i haven't seen an amerucana in a long time so i cannot tell you what color they're earlobes are! hope that answers your question!! :)

If asking about the shell, most domestic chickens lay an egg with some shade of brown. The mass producing chicken farm hen will lay the white ones.

If asking about the green color you find when you hard-boil an egg, that is produced by sulfur. If you poke a small hole in then large end of an egg before you hard-boil it, (and put a little vinegar in the water) you allow the sulfur to escape and you have a fully white, fully egg shaped hard-boiled egg (no flat spot).

If you scramble a large amount of fresh eggs and they don't stirred well, the eggs that stay toward the bottom of your pan will be green.

The sulfur is what makes rotten eggs smell so bad.

Araucanas lay blue eggs, not green really? I don't think any chicken lays green eggs?

Chicken eggs vary in color depending on the hen, typically ranging from bright white to shades of brown and even blue, green, and recently reported purple (found in South Asia)

I heard only about blue eggs and the reason is sadness (or depression) at chicken. Green eggs are probably laid by inexperienced chicken, while communist chicken produce red eggs. And I am sure it is clear than jealous chicken lay yellow eggs

Very simple and logical!:)
