I just wanted to ask, I know that there's this myth that depending on what you crave either sweets or saltiness you can tell if your having a boy or a girl. Which is which? I seem to be craving alot of sweet things lately. Mainly fruit!!

I heard that if you crave sweets its a girl and if you crave salty its a boy. Which was true for me. I craved salty things left and right and i had a boy. But who knows if its really true!!!

Well, when I was PG with my first (boy), I craved hot wings and mashed potatoes. When I was PG with my second (girl), I craved salad and milk shakes. Couldn't get enough milkshakes. With my 3rd (boy), I really didn't crave anything but White Castles, and only once or twice. So there must be something to the sweet thing. I have a couple of friends who had girls and craved sweets as well.

That is an old wives tale...what U crave wont tell u the sex of the baby nor does how U carry low or high. The only sure way to tell is if it can be clearly seen in an ultrasound or if U have an amino test done.

My two pregnancies...first one I carried high and ate sweets... Second I carried low and ate salty/spicy....both turned out to be girls.

But what ever U may have...love it well no matter what sex it is. Good luck.

The old wives tale says that if you crave sweets, that it's a girl, and if you crave salty things, it's a boy.

That wasn't correct for me...I've been craving sweet things my whole pregnancy and I'm having a boy :)

♥ Congrats and good luck! ♥

I had a girl and while I was pregnant I couldn't stand anything too sweet. I even had to water down juice and Gatorade because it tasted like pure sugar. I craved french fries and green beans and I also ate a lot of fruit.

well i know with my SON which was 3 years ago. I sat on my bed holloween night with my hubby n ate a WHOLEEEE buncha candy out of the kids' snacks. When i was pregnant with him thats all i wanted was candy n junk food, and with my first son all i wanted was fruit and mashed potatoes. Ive never had a girl so i have no idea what having a girl is like. Every pregnancy is different. Im now 7 weeks pregnant and i havent been sick or tired at all. Its been a breeze, who knows maybe that means its a girl. Im eating like a horse, and i want anything and everything. I could eat like every hour lol. GOODLUCK!!!! Let me know what your having!

All I know is the reason you crave anything is because your body is searching for vitamins and minerals. Since you are having a baby "congratulations!" most of your nutrition is going to baby first. You need to get some good supplementation.
