I will most likely draw character designs for video games or my own manga series.

Average income is hard to say. It all depends on the quality of your work, and how many people like your style.

Being a cartoonist allows you to be creative while getting paid for doing what you like. Downs would be that you aren't always for sure going to be financially set, depending on how much of your stuff people buy.

Cartoonists do from a range of jobs. Advertisments, animation, or just working under a storyline.

average: varies bigtime, there is no average

Pays fairly well, but you never know if you're gonna get the job. Takes a long time for someone to accept your work, before you're shot down by hundreds of people first.

I would draw for making Graphic Novels and publishing them to the Tokyopop Company.
