My boyfriends x girlfriend is saying that she was pregnant and is now thinks she has had a miscarriage. She is saying that he needs to give her $500.00 for a test that tells if she is having a miscarriage or has already had one. Is there any such test besides the normal urine and blood test to show your hormone level? If she is having a miscarriage can they stop it?

The only test would be the blood test to detect hormone levels and depending on how far along she was an ultrasound to check for what's there and what's not, otherwise there is no other test.

I had a miscarriage between my daughter and son (about 14 1/2 yrs ago)...at that time there were no test (unless she is talking about an ultrasound)...I cramped very badly (mild/medium labor pains), and bled like I was on my period. A miscarriage is not something that goes on for a few weeks...if she is, she will know it, and so will the DR. She HAS to go to the Dr. for a ?DNC? or she will get a bad infection (or so I was told). She will also bleed for a few weeks just like she had a baby.
Your boyfriend should go with her to this "Test" just to check it out. Sounds like to me that she is faking a miscarriage (but I could be wrong).

If she is actually HAVING a miscarrige, No, I don't believe there is any way for a dr. to stop it from happening.

As for the test to tell if she is miscarrying, I've never heard of such a thing..Sounds a little absurd to me...

Have your bf, Or you call around and/or look on the net, to see if you can find out any info about it..Sounds like she just wants $500 from your bf...Lol...

Or maybe she thinks saying she's pregnant and miscarrying will make him feel bad for her, And want her or something? *shrug*

there's no such "test" unless she's talking about getting her blood drawn to do an hcg test which tests whether your hcg levels are going up or going down. if it's going down, then that indicates something is wrong, like she's having/had a miscarriage, or she has an ectopic.

shes having you on hunni.
here in the UK depending how far along you are you have a scan and test to see if your still testing positive , a + test does not mean your still pregnant just that your body still has the hormone present then they may decide to scan you to see if any of the pregnancy is left and if it needs to be removed.
i have never heard of a test that tells you.
plz do not give her any money until you see proof
i think you have a jealous ex on your hands x x x x

A blood test can be done, if she is having a miscarriage your pregnancy hormone level is dropping opposed to when you are pregnant it is doubling!!

Never heard of one before. Has she seen a doctor? I think your boyfriend needs to have proof of the test before giving her any money, the only thing I can think of is to take her to the er maybe for a sonogram? Good Luck

You can have you hcg hormones checked for a few days if they go down or are not going up like they should then then she probably is. She can also have a sonogram and those are expensive.

miscarriage cannot be stopped. If she did have a misscarriage and the body doesn't clean out naturally, she may need a D&C. I'm not sure how much it costs.
