America (USA) is a collection of 50 very different and diversified states. They have economies that range from agriculture to mining to business and finance. Rent can be from $500 starting in a poor state to a couple of thousand in California. The wages, taxes and laws vary by state, as do religion and common ethnic groups.
There is way too much info for any one site. I suggest you know what your talent (cowboy or banker or ?) is and then learn about those areas. Try using google to search your area of interest & questions.

Eck, please ask your question again and give us some additional information, such as:

1) Are you going over to work?
2) If so, do you have the proper work visa already?
3) So then, are you just looking for information about moving household goods and information about what kinds of electronics work there?
4) OR --- are you looking to get into the US without a work permit?
5) And if so, are you just planning to go and hang out (i.e. as a tourist) or are you planning to figure out a way to work?

If you could be more specific, then we could surely help you!
