Yes, x = 1 is a solution.
2 = 2x

Divide both sides by 2:
1 = x
x = 1.

Because y is unspecified, it could be any value, so (1, 2) is a solution, but so is (1, 3), (1, 4), (1, 100), (1, -37), etc.

1*2=2, so 2/2=1

Since there is no y variable, your answer to this equation will not be an ordered pair. The only solution you'll have will be x = 1. (1, 2) would be a solution to y = 2x though.

2 = 2x
2 / 2 = x
→ x = 1

Just the 1.

Brenmore is correct. x=1 is the solution. The ordered pair (1,2) doesn't mean anything in the context of this problem.
