I let them dig in & take what they want. Some kids took 2 pieces, some 10 pieces. I don't get many kids, so there was plenty to go around.

I didn't give out candy because I took my daughter out. There was hardly no one passing out candy this year. The places we did go gave her 1 or 2 pieces. Last year she filled up half a pillow case. This year she couldn't even get her plastic pumpkin half way. I think everyone here in the Bay Area took advantage of all of the parties or took their own kids out. I promised her I would go to Walgreens and but some of the bags left for half off. At least she can have a little more candy.

I live on top of a hill, which is on top of 2 other hills. It's very dark where I live and it's surrounded by forest. No one comes here trick or treating, or in my area. But if they did come, I'd give them a handful, because what's the point in giving just a couple pieces?? I made my 3 year old nephew a bag. It was kind of half-assed though because I didn't have time to run to the store to buy candy just for halloween. I gave him gummy lifesaves, creamsavers, sour cream and cheddar chips, 2 milk and cereal bars, a can of pepsi, and chocolate chip cookies. I gave my 1 year old nephew $10.
My grandmother gave me some candy for halloween.... and I checked some of the expiration dates and one bag of gummy bears expired in August of 2005. LOL, nasty. And 2 other bags of candy expired last month. Nice huh??

every year i buy the "good" stuff.like hershey bars,etc...i usually give a handful , but this year the small town i'm in had Halloween in the park, people came and decorated their trunks and gave out candy from there. all of the kids in town came.even with hot dogs and drinks. i was forced to give 1 piece to each kid & still ran out! i felt bad. but with such a good turn out --all kids got alot. the ems even came and x-rayed candy--for the leary. sorry , i know that's more than you asked.

We were at our daughters. I went with her, her hubby and the 18 mo and 4 year old and my husband gave out the treats. He gave out one piece to each kid but they were full sized candy bars.
I did notice that when people saw our little princesses and heard the 18 mo. old say "tick or treat" they gave a TON of candy to them, Just what we needed! All three girls (an 11 yr. old, too) expected to be able to eat some for breakfast. Grandma (I baby sit) said NO!

My husband handed out the candy, and he gave 1 candy bar mini, 1 sucker and 3 gumballs to each kid. He wanted to make sure to have plenty, and he just barely had enough! (We had about 400 pc of candy at the start of the night)

a great sort of folk are putting 2 products yet i undergo in concepts I hated it while somebody basically gave me 2 products of candy. yet i think of it additionally relies upon on their age, like a three year previous would not % 5 products of candy. So on known i might hand out 3 or 4 products. 5 if its an extremely lovable dress or they have sturdy manners :D

At first we gave them 2 or 3 items. Then as it appeared we weren't going to get many kids I started giving them 5 or 6. I still have 4 big bags left.
