I have already applied for food stamps , but that process takes up to 30 days. And I have 4 children I have to feed now. I am also looking for some place who can help with delivery because I dont have transportation to get the food home. Does any one know where I can get help? I need a place for the Prince Georges County area

Alot of people here must not be aware that a person can use the internet free at the library. Nice job assuming all, way to be a humanitarian, your sure to get into heaven with that attitude.
As for you question, check with your local united way, if they cant help you, they will point you in the right direction. Hope everything works out for you, god bless!

You can try contacting your area food bank, tell them your situation and they may bring the food to you. You can also contact the office in which you applied for food stamps and they can give you numbers to places that can help with food and transportation while you are waiting on your stamps. If none of these help then contact a local church, they usually have programs for people in need.

Did you tell the Food Stamp Office that you have 4 children and no food? You should be eligible for Emergency Food Stamps, In which case it would take 24-48 hours to recieve them!
As for the other stuff, Do a google search for food pantries in your area. :-)

Don't live near there but, have you call the town hall or the clerks office in you town.? They will know right where to send you. And they usaully have a food pantry in all towns.

Call the local churches. They usually have food donations for those who need it, and most deliver to people.

Check around at local churches. Surely one or more of them have a pantry and should be able to help you right away. I'm sure they could even arrange for it to be delivered. Good luck.

Turn off the internet, sell your computer and use that money to buy food and diapers. Then get a job. Take care of your own instead of letting the taxpayers do it for you.......the food stamps and welfare should be just what they intended for it to be.....assistance, not a means of living off of.

i don't know about the diapers but check your local churches...they often give out food to those in need...also check to see if there is a food pantry in your area

WIC will help with food. As far as diapers not sure. Since your obviously in need of cash and resources and you have a computer that you are on maybe you should considered pawning your computer for cash.

call dfcs and ask them to give you a food bank referral. explain your situation to them. when i applied for the food stamps, if the situation is dire they have to respond within 10 days. it sure sounds dire to me, it will not hurt to try. also try a local church and ask for help.
