Check to see if she is having some sort of discharge - it should be bloody...also, she will start panting when she has contractions. If she is vomiting, then you probably want to take up her food - but leave the water out. Dogs usually instinctively know not to eat once labor begins, but the vomiting might be stomach acid. She will be whiney until labor begins, and then she will want to find a place to be by herself to do the job. Some dogs want to have you with them when they deliver and some don't. Once she starts delivering - you probably don't want to touch her. Because of the pain of giving birth, sometimes they will nip at you if you touch them. You might want to put a heating pad under her dog bed - it helps warm up the puppies. Also, if she is a small dog - especially if she mated with a larger dog - you probably need to check on her progress. If she goes more than an hour in labor (panting, straining) without having a puppy, you need to get her to a vet.

I"m no expert but when our dog went into labor it was much like that. She paced and got very anxious and moved her bed and blanket around like she was nesting. It was about 45 min before the first pup came. Feel her tummy and see if it's tightening up. Those are the contractions. Good luck!!

It's likely. Take some old blankets or newspapers and prepare a warm safe place where she can go to be private and have her puppies without being disturbed.

Sure does sound like it. If you haven't already, I'd prepare her birthing area and keep her close to it.
