Ok,I'm white and i've been with my current boyfriend for a little over a year now...when i met him i was in a two year relationship with a black man,I ended that realationship because i fell deeply in love with my current b/f....My b/f tells me it "bothers" him that i've had sex with a black man...i asked him if he's ever slept with a black woman and he said "yes as an experiment not for two years like you:" It doesnt make sense to me when he says this to me because the majority of his friends are not even white,He's really protective over me around his friends...ive tried explaing the fact that i fall in love with men for who they are and that their race or income ect plays no role in matters of the heart but he still seems bothered by it...How can i try to ease his mind over this subject..what can i even say because when this topic comes up it just makes me so angry? Why do men feel like this? if anyone has been down this road & has any suggestions about it plz fill me in

maybe he feels inadequate in the bedroom next to a black man.
tell him to get over it, and if he is racist, i hope you fall "out of love" with him cause that is a trait not to be accepted

I think a lot of ignorant white boys go by the theory that black men have bigger ***** and that makes them self-consious about themselves.

Also, considering you cheated on your ex to be with him, he may be wondering if you'd do the same TO him.

If he can't trust what you say, then maybe it's best that the relationship be over.

Do you really want to spend your life and have kids with someone who makes such a huge issue over something like COLOR?

he's dumb. i don't know how you do it lol...i wouldn't last a minute with that pre judging, close minded, ignorant, stareotypical man..

so this dude slept with a black woman and is "hurt" because you slept with a black man...AND he's protective of you around his black homies.. that's immature..he probobly doesn't want you to be "poisoned" by one again..it's disgusting!..not only sexist..it's freak'n racist! what does he think that black people's sperm is contaminated or summin? that he can score with a black chick and it's harmless and you hitting it off with a black man is wrong??

that guy doesn't deserve you..leave him, there are a LOT better fish in the sea..just go fetch some =D

ps-not ALL men are like this...HE is like this.

If this man is going to be with you, he's going to have to accept you for who you are. That means that he needs to accept your past. The past is the past; you can't go back in time and change it. He knew about your previous boyfriend when he started dating you. If he had such a problem with your ex-boyfriend being Black, then why did he start dating you? If he can't accept you or your past, then you might want to find someone who can.

sometimes ppl just don't feel as though mixed race couples should be. i don't think they are always racist but just are aganist people who are not the same race going out. but in a way i guess that is still racist...
