Or is it all a big act?

Like they accused Michael J. Fox of doing...

It's an act. Offended by what exactly? Kerry should stand his ground and show some balls on this issue. The man is a Vietnam vet. As such, he is much more qualified to comment on the Iraq issue or other military related issues than coward George W. Bush and his draft-dodging cronies.

Simple, do you think the halls of the lecture were filled with Republicans hanging on the words of their hero, Kerry?

Of course not, they couldn't give a rats *** what Kerry said about anything or anyone. For example, he actually meant to call Bush an idiot. Do they care? Of course not.

So to answer your question, its all a big act trying to sway people on the fence to vote their side, and try to motivate their own party supporters to actually make the effort to vote.

I do think, though, that DEMOCRATS are genuinely upset about the incident, even though I personally disagree with this. Not because of the comments, but just because he made the mistake in the first place.

I truly believe some of the repubs think the same way as Kerry, but they just don't vocalize it. However, it makes good campaigning against the Democrats.

They are freaking overjoyed, of course! Like they said on CNN, the last best hope for the republican party in this election is the Democrats!

but somebody should seriously tape Kerry's mouth shut, before he sinks the whole damn party again!

They are seizing an opportunity to distract people from the real issues, that is all.

Besides they know that what Kerry said was true. If Bush and Cheney hadn't gone to college, or had the connections they had, maybe they would have had to serve in combat themselves. It's so ironic that Kerry is the one who actually has been in combat, and gets attacked for disrespecting the military. It is Bush that has disrespected the troops by engaging them in his poorly-planned actions.

First, Mr. Fox admitted he had not read the bill and pulled his ad after he had read it. HE said he was lied to by the Demorats. Big surprise? Secondly, you are damn right we are upset. The American military is the best educated force in the world, and the brave young men and women who are willing to fight for ALL OF OUT FREEDOM deserve to be treated better than Kerry the Cowards low life estimate. Read "Unfit for Command." It was written by the swift boaters who had to put up with Kerry's ineptitude in Nam. The man is worse than a joke.

I believe two things. I believe some of them are chuckling over it and content to let others believe he was talking about the military though they know he was referring to Bush and co. I also believe some of them are just simply too lazy to take another listen to clarify what he meant. These people are also content to continue thinking he meant the military, simply because they just don't like him to begin with. Either way, it's typical.

Absolutely not.

They know exactly what he meant, and are just using it to stir up their ignorant base.

The idea that a decorated veteran is being criticized by a president whose service can't be verified is beyond amazing.
