Why can't some of you just show a little RESPECT and simply 'view' the responses if you're not a VETERAN? I didn't 'dictate' anything. I asked for RESPECT.

I 'blindly' followed the Democratic view until Jimmy Carter. Just to make it clear, it wasn't all his fault. It was the turning point of what a Democrat is all about. Republican ever since.

The Democratic party has not been the friend of veterans for several decades now. I was raised a Democrat and followed the party almost into oblivion. Imagine my surprise when I woke up one morning to find that I am in reality, a Republican.

Served 81-85
I would hope we would be 'deeper' in caring over America than what a single politician says. They all are overly influenced by big money and are completely out of touch with 'ordinary' Americans. I am a Democrat, but I hope that I vote deeper than to punish my local politicians with the unthinking statements of another.
The fact is that no matter what Kerry says or what Bush says, or what any politician says, we are in Iraq, in Afghanistan with over 100 thousand husbands, wives, sons, daughters that are doing what they are told. Everything that we do here and vote here - should be based on them turning over the remnants of the country back to the authorities and getting back home.
What we need is the criteria of when we have won. That has been lacking from the beginning.

Gee, I don't know.
John Kerry and the Democrats are not the people that sent our troops into Iraq in insuffucient numbers; or with insufficient equipment; or with poorly armored vehicles; or with helmets that didn't peotect (super-liberal Cher had to start a charity and testify to congress about this), or feeding the troops with MREs that were long-passed the expiration date, or give no-bid contracts to Halliburton for water purification plants that don't work, forcing our troops to drink and bathe inpolluted water, or reduce Veteran's benifits.
Yeah, Republicans loooove the troops, and combat-decorated hates them.

You cant dictate who will or wont answer your questions. This is not a dictatorship of a forum.Anyone is free to answer any question they want.
I respect people who have earned my respect.Being a veteran is not enough to earn my respect unless you are a decent person to go along with it. So while as a whole idea I support out military I will not just go around putting their wishes and ideas above my own.
