It does happen to woman during pregnancy, sometimes its because of sexual intercourse the night before.Sometimes it could be more serious depending on how far along you are. Call your doctor and check it out.

Depending on which stage your in, it can be normal. If you just spot one day and it goes away, you're probably fine, but mention this to your doctor at your next visit. Early in pregancy women sometimes experience spotting, this is usually due to implantation into the uterus and is normal. If you have spotting that lasts more than a day, especially if in combination with abdominal cramping, call your doctor and inform them. They may want to check you out, or at the least, keep an eye on it.

I wouldn't call it normal, but it can happen I spotted at 12 weeks, at the ER they could find nothing wrong and the OB says it was likely to having intercourse 2 days before. Have you told your doc that your spotting?
Why do ppl respond with things like "ask your obgyn" don't you think she will, duh she is just looking for advice beyond that, you ppl who do this get on my nerves, if you don't have an answer don't bother

I have never been pregnant; but my co-worker was having the problem in her 1st trimester with spotting. When she went to the doctor, they explain to her that this is normal because your body is going through changes. I wouldn't worry about it. If you feel any pain, please go to the doctor and make sure that you and the baby are fine.

it is during early pregnancy. later on in pregnancy it can occur from having sex. in the last month of pregnancy i wouldn't call it normal, it could mean labor is starting.
